The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport Renovation package was a very complex
endeavour that involved several phases and coordination with multiple architecture firms. The scope of Murray Architects work included: Phase I - renovating the existing restroom facilities
throughout the complex, Phase II - updating all flight information display systems, Phase III - renovating the interior terminal, parabola, and baggage claim areas, a complete re-design of the
airports ticket counters, and modifications to several office suites throughout the airport, and Phase IV - demolition to the existing post office and bank to allow further renovations to the main
terminal. The aging airport was in need of major upgrades for it to stay on track with newer more advanced facilities. The extent of work required to allow for more efficient passenger
circulation, larger restroom capacity, and beautification for all passenger interfaces.
