The main goal of Destrehan High School’s roof replacement was to remove an aging roof system and replace it with a more maintenance-efficient and energy saving system.  As with all of Murray Architects design work, an emphasis is made on energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.  This is evident in the longevity of the materials selected and the efficient performance of the selected roofing membrane.  Also, the opportunity for natural day lighting was present and the utilization of a 100% natural lighting system was installed in areas with low light levels.
